WordPress 4.5.1 released


WordPress 4.5.1 was just released. This release includes bug fixes and improvements for WordPress 4.5 and is recommended for all WordPress users.

As always, Managed WordPress websites will be updated by 1&1 automatically. If you have installed WordPress yourself or use a standard installation from the 1&1 App Center, you can update to 4.5.1 from your WordPress Dashboard. 

Select Updates and click Update Now. If you prefer to update manually, you can download WordPress 4.5.1 here.

WordPress 4.5.1 contains these bug fixes, among other smaller improvements:

  • Themes: resolved site layout issues when using Twenty Eleven and other themes with widgets enabled
  • Theme customizer: resolved issues for the tablet device preview in the customizer
  • TinyMCE editor: resolved an issue where the TinyMCE toolbar cold freeze/become unresponsive when using Google Chrome
  • Emoji: resolved an issue with the Emoji skin tone support test in Google Chrome
