  3. My blog posts are always coming up in summary form instead of full text even though I have them set as full text in the settings. How can I change this?

    1. 1and1help says:

      Hi Simon,

this depends very much on the theme you are using for your blog. The function you might want to edit on this point is called “excerpt”:

I’ve set everything up and followed all of the instructions but when I try to visit my site by typing the address into my internet search bar it comes up with the 1&1default site, but when i click on any link in my control panel or on my wordpress dashboard it takes me to my actual site. why is it not working when i type the address out to visit my site?

    1. 1and1help says:

      Hi terri C,

the dns update of your domain can always take some time before the site is working in every circumstances. Also browser caches can cause this.

In the mean time your website should be shown everytime you open the url in your browser.

      Best regards,
      Michael, 1&1
